About
Betty Campbell
Betty Campbell is
a pianist, vocalist, and composer. She has more
than 30 years of teaching experience. She loves
teaching and tries to inspire students to do
their best and to enjoy music as a life-long
hobby or vocation.
She graduated
from Arizona State University in 1975 with a
Bachelors degree in Music Education (Choral
Music). She was a piano major and a voice
minor. She did independent study in organ and
choral arranging with David N. Johnson. She
continues to compose and arrange Christian music
for publication and performance. She encourages
her students to compose and perform their
compositions written under supervision, using
their knowledge of music theory.
Betty does music
ministry at a care facility and an assisted
living facility. Patients respond to the music
and the message and lift their voices in singing
traditional hymns. Students share their talents
by giving mini-recitals.
Betty currently
serves on the Board of the Phoenix Music
Teachers Association as vocal teachers
chairperson. She is in charge of the annual
vocal recital for students of PMTA teachers.
