Gail Norris

About Gail Norris

Gail Norris is a gentle, firm yet kind and understanding teacher with over twenty-five years teaching experience in public school music and private piano lessons. Her passion is teaching students to become lifelong lovers of music making. Students are the stars in her studio! She has taught all ages to play piano successfully and wants to continue this diversity.

Gail's in-home piano studio includes an antique Knabe grand piano for lessons and a Roland digital piano where students play with orchestral accompaniment disks to supplement their rhythm learning. A computer with musical note learning games is compatible to the Roland for sound.

A half hour per day practice commitment is requested. A variety of music book methods are used. Music theory is required, using that offered by each publisher. The student helps to choose music played at twice yearly recitals.

Parents are welcome to observe lessons if the student is comfortable. Progress reports are given if requested. References are available.
