Laura Copple has maintained a
private piano studio in her home for 30 years
where she has continued her passion for guiding
both children and adults through their piano
studies. Ms. Copple holds two music degrees from
the University of Nebraska: Bachelor of Music in
Education and Master of Music.
Laura has a
diverse teaching background that includes four
years as the lead piano lab instructor at the
prestigious Parker School of Music in Omaha. She
was the recipient of a full scholarship and
teaching assistantship for her graduate studies
and was responsible for instructing all piano
minors.
Combining her love of composition
with piano pedagogy, Laura has written several
piano solos including “Elements For The Piano”,
an award-winning set of ten pieces in various
twentieth century styles. Laura’s students are
given a solid foundation in classical piano
repertoire but also enjoy playing many other
styles including jazz and pop. Proper piano
performance practices, technique, theory and
music history are also emphasized during
lessons.
Above all, Laura’s patience and kind
manner allow her students to advance and grow
into musicians who appreciate the high standards
she instills.
