About Ursula Newman

Kind, patient and enthusiastic Ursula makes music fun! She teaches ages 4 through adult, beginners through advanced. Ursula maintains a rigorous teaching schedule because of her demand as a teacher and her high retention rate of keeping students for a number of years, developing them into fine musicians. Students learn with comprehensive musicianship, as students are able to read music, play in other keys, improvise, sight read, and understand music theory.

Ursula was the founder and director of the Ursula Cauffiel School of Music that ran for over 26 years, employing over 70 teachers and teaching thousands of students in Toledo, Ohio. She now teaches in northeast Scottsdale. Her philosophy is that each student is special and can learn to play the piano for fun and enjoyment.
