The purpose of the Vocal Recital Series is to give vocal students ages 9 through senior high an opportunity to perform in a recital setting. Recital will be limited to one hour.
Eligibility:
Vocal students of PMTA members, age 9 through senior high. Vocal pieces of any level are allowed. See Vocal Repertoire List to determine level.

Registration Fee:
No fee is required
Teacher and Student Responsibilities are outlined in the Information and Registration Form.
- Each teacher is allotted a maximum of 10 minutes performance time unless extra time is available.
- Keep a signed copy of the Guidelines for PMTA
Vocal Events for each student registered. Provide each student a copy. Bring the signed copy to the recital.
- The level of performance should be excellent. This is an opportunity for students to perform in a public setting and we want their experience to be positive.

The purpose of the Vocal Festival and Master Class is to provide positive feedback to the student, teacher and parents, and to encourage them to be aware of the principles of singing, to set reasonable goals in attaining them, and to evaluate progress being made toward the goal of becoming an excellent performer, who thoroughly enjoys singing.
Eligibility:
Vocal students of teachers who are PMTA members, age 9 through senior high. Teachers and students must abide by the Guidelines for PMTA Vocal Events. Noncompliance will result in disqualification. Students entered must have studied with the current teacher at least three (3) months prior to the event. Chairperson(s) may enter students.

TBD, nonrefundable.

Divisions:
Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced. See the Repertoire List for suggestions.
Repertoire:
Only classical and Broadway selections will be accepted. Movie themes may be included, if printed in Broadway anthologies or collections. Songs and arias must be sung in the original language and may be transposed. Each student will be limited to one song. The time limit for each song will be a maximum of 5 minutes. One and one-half hours will be allowed for judging.
Age Categories:
Junior 9-12, Intermediate 13-15, Senior 16-18.
Awards:
Ribbons will be awarded for “Superior with Honors”, "Superior" and "Excellent" ratings. Certificates of Participation will be awarded all students.
