Alexis is the Director of Musical Surprise where she teaches private voice, piano, and early childhood music classes. She has been a part of the Musical Surprise family since spring 2012. She graduated from Northern Arizona University with a Bachelor's Degree in K-12 Music Education: Choral Emphasis in December 2017. Alexis worked with many professional voice instructors, sang in master classes, and participated in elite world-traveling ensembles at Glendale Community College and Northern Arizona University. She was heavily involved in the performing community both in school and out, performing in many musicals and operas throughout her college career. She is active in various teaching associations: MTNA, PMTA, NATS, AZOrff, and NAfME. Alexis is fueled with passion for music and creating an environment that is both fun and engaging for her students. She believes that music is for everyone, regardless of age, experience or ability. When Alexis is not teaching or planning fun events for the studio, she loves to spend time with her husband and daughter.
