Sara is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin where she was a piano performance major. She received a four-year scholarship as the First Prize Winner in the University of Texas National Solo Competition. Sara studied with noted pianist and teacher John Perry. She performed as soloist and chamber musician throughout her college years, and was invited to perform in the Austin Winter Music Festivals and the Kerrville Music Festivals in Texas.
Sara also appeared with the University of Texas Symphony under conductor Walter Ducloux, performing the Mozart Double Piano Concerto with her brother, pianist Dickran Atamian. She then spent two years in New York City studying with world-renowned concert pianist Jorge Bolet. Sara has taught privately in Phoenix for over 25 years. Her teaching reflects her excellent training, and she succeeds in developing students' proficiency in technical ability and, most of all, musical expression.
Sara teaches beginning to advanced students preparing for college level study. She presents two recitals a year and performance classes each semester. Please contact her at 602-862-9195 to arrange for piano lessons.
